Why False Lashes

Many of my brides are on the fence about wearing false lashes for their wedding. Either they've never worn them or they are afraid they will look overly fake or over the top. Just because you are wearing falsies, doesn't mean they need to be over the top. If you apply them right, no one will be able to tell.

Want long, flirty lashes? You have two options: false lashes or lash extensions. If you want the look of beautiful lashes but aren't sure if you can commit or aren't sure if you will like how they look, then false lashes are the way to go. They are inexpensive and can be easily removed at the end of the night. Lash extensions on the other hand will last you 4-6 weeks before you need to get them filled and start at about $100 if not more. Not to mention, you can't do lash extensions yourself.

False lashes can do wonders for your eyes and your overall look. Here is a before and after picture of some false lashes.

The picture on the left is of an eye with curled lashes and two coats of mascara. The picture on the right has false lashes added. Notice how the eye on the right looks more open? The lid looks more lifted and the lashes look soft and flirty. Who doesn't want soft, flirty lashes? I know I do!

Here is a picture of both eyes with false lashes.

Do they look over the top to you? No! They look soft, natural and like she was blessed with great lashes. Your eyes are the window to your soul. Why not dress them up?! Especially on your wedding day when you want beautiful and romantic makeup. Falsies help create that look.

Falsies are available in tons of different styles and colours. You can buy them in strips, individuals, even mink lashes. The great thing is that you can also get multiple uses out of them. If you take great care of them, you can use the same lashes anywhere from 5-10 times. There are various types of lash glue that you can use as well. My personal favourite is Duo Lash Adhesive in Clear.

If anything, the right false lashes will help enhance your look. They can make a world of difference, especially to your wedding photos. Give them a try!
